Global Delivery Services (GDS) provides enabling services to EY member firms, Service Lines, business support functions and Area/Global entities. These services are provided via 3 service delivery entities: GDS, Client Service - Assurance, Advisory, Knowledge, Tax and TAS, and GDS, Enablement Services - IT, Finance & Accounting, Risk Management Services, Talent Services, Business & Creative Services, Procurement services and GDS, Automation Central. GDS is an important component of EY’s Vision 2020 strategy, and has an ever-increasing footprint across the world, including five centres in India (Bangalore, Gurgaon, Chennai, Trivandrum and Kochi), plus Argentina, China, Poland, and the Philippines. GDS headcount is approximately 24,000 (June 2017) and predicted to grow to over 35,000 by 2020.
Arabic Language Specialist will be part of GDS Client Service Operations and will be expected to provide Arabic Language training to GDS client serving resources catering to MENA region.


Job Summary:

Arabic Language Specialist will be required to train GDS resources in Arabic Language to equip them to handle conversations with our Middle East stakeholders and to read and understand Arabic documents.

Purpose of the Job:

  • To provide language related services such as Language Teaching, English-Arabic translation Services, content writing, proofreading, editing, etc.
  • Play the role of a team member in engagements requiring Arabic Language proficiency
  • Prepare high quality presentations or reports in Arabic
  • Consistency in exhibiting strong analysis, insight building capabilities as well as executive presence
  • Self-learning and constant seeking to gain relevant knowledge and pursue excellence
  • Able to manage stress of tight schedules and responsibly be committed to meet delivery timelines is essential

Knowledge, Competency and Skills Requirements:

  • Strong Arabic language skills oral and written


Supervision Responsibilities:

Role will report through CS Operations to MENA and Japan Account Leader

  • Lead and manage a small team
  • Motivate team members through effective monitoring, coaching, counselling and providing a positive working environment


Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to undertake short term or long term international travel as required.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Graduate. Arabic Language & English Language
  • Post-Graduation: Arabic Language & English Language
Experience:
(What type of experience is necessary to perform this job?)
  • Over 3 years’ experience in Arabic Language Teaching and Translation
  • Experience working in finance and accounting field preferred
  • Experience of working in a cross-border, virtual environment would be beneficial


Certification Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Arabic Language
